What to Expect During a Sound Healing Session
A sound healing session is the opportunity to relax and release. It can be thought of as a meditation with sound and may include sonic massage with weighted tuning forks, Tibetan singing bowls or crystal singing bowls. I use a variety of sound healing instruments - from tuning forks, singing bowls, drums, chimes and more.
The sound frequencies of the instruments may be discordant to break up energy or tensions in the body while harmonious frequencies are used to restore and create balance. The various vibrations from the instruments allow the body to move into a deep state of relaxation. The changes can be felt on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. Many times, the positive effects of a sound healing session will last for several days.
Breaking up Pain and Tension
Applying weighted tuning forks or singing bowls on areas of pain moves the tension out of the body. Many patients feel immediate relief. Great for back pain, joint and muscle ache, arthritis, and more.
Tuning forks, when applied to the main meridian points, balance the flow of energy in the body systems. At times energy in the body may build up in areas or become depleted. The vibrations from the appropriate tuning forks will help restore energy to a depleted system or disperse energy that has built up.
Unweighted tuning forks are used to balance the chakras, clear the bio-field, and restore mental and emotional states.
Tibetan Singing Bowls and the Body's Energy System
Singing bowls are used to open the chakras, the energy centers in the body. Each chakra is connected to the body's neural network. When the energy centers are balanced your life comes into alignment and the natural flow of being.
Singing bowls may be placed around the body to create relaxation, balance blood circulation, and calm or stimulate the nervous system. The vibrations for the singing bowls causes the cells of the body to communicate with each other. When the tones are discordant old patterns are being broken up and when the tones are in harmony the cells communicate the avenues of positive change.
Tibetan Singing Bowls and Sonic Massage
Tibetan singing bowls are placed directly on the body and the vibrations created gently resonate through the body. If there are problem areas, it may sound like the vibrations are being "consumed" or tones sound different. Once the sounds return to normal, balance has been restored.
Crystal Singing Bowls Re-align the Body's Crystalline Structure
Crystal singing bowls are placed on or around the body. Their healing power and potential is the clear sound they emit and that they are made of quartz crystal.
The physical body's most abundant component is liquid crystalline tissue, which forms a continuously interconnected system throughout the body. When crystal singing bowls are played in proximity to the body the parts of us that are out of balance re-align.
